Therapy for Depression and Anxiety
Depression and anxiety can lead us to feeling stuck, limited in our relationships, and at a loss for where to turn. In some circumstances, these conditions are influenced by a specific situation, and in other cases they are a component of our biology. Through research and education about the brain, mindfulness training, and cognitive behavioral therapy, we will explore the root of your depression and/or anxiety and develop an effective, skills-based plan that will bring you greater peace and joy in your life.
Life Transitions
From our conception to our death there are endless transitions we navigate. Some are exciting and filled with anticipation while others make us aware of our fragility and lack of control. Whether you’re transitioning from school to career, employment to unemployment, health to illness, single life to dating, parenting, or rebuilding life after a divorce, these experiences (and many others) deserve to be regarded with intention and kindness. Through mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and narrative therapy, I will help you identify and enhance the stable place within yourself where you can experience these changes with strength and compassion.
Existential Counseling
“Who am I?”
“What is my purpose?”
“How do I want to be remembered?”
What other questions do you ponder? While I don’t hold the answers to unlock your mysteries, I am honored to guide and support you as you explore the aspects of your being where deeper meaning awaits. Let’s dive in.
Grief and Loss
Grief is a part of the human experience, yet when the pain of loss reaches our own life it can be isolating, paralyzing, scary, and feel as if the aching may never end. In our work together, I will offer warmth and hope and help you find ways to integrate grief into your daily life in a sustainable way. When approached with intention, pain has the power to transform us and deepen our relationship with ourselves and others.
